An Evening with… Silvie Paladino.
One of Australia’s must-see performers, Silvie Paladino, is teaming up with one of Melbourne’s very best concert bands, the Western Region Concert Band, for one night only at the Clocktower Centre.
Enjoy a night of music from this versatile and talented entertainer and leading lady backed by a 30 piece concert band and guest choirs.
Silvie Paladino has been credited as being one of he greatest female voices in Australia. Her remarkable vocal range enables her to sing a vast repertoire including jazz, contemporary, musical theatre and light opera.
Western Region Concert Band has had significant success working with international artists including Leo Sayer, James Morrison, Christine Anu, Tripod, Glenn Shorrock and many more, making for a perfect pairing.
Definitely a night not to be missed!
ABOUT US
Founded in 1977. Western Region Concert Band is an ensemble consisting of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. The band has performed with well known artists including James Morrison, Christine Anu, Leo Sayer, Silvie Paladino, Denis Walter, Gina Jeffreys, Colleen Hewett, Normie Rowe, Glenn Shorrock and Mark Vincent. Our repertoire is wide and varied from pop, show tunes, classical, jazz and concert band music. Something for everyone!
We rehearse on Saturday mornings and are always looking for new members.
JOIN US
Western Region Concert Band rehearses on Saturday mornings (except for the Christmas break). If you are interested in trying out we recommend that you sit in with the band for a few rehearsals before a mutual decision is made about membership. Please contact us to arrange a suitable time to come and sit in.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals take place weekly :- Saturdays 8:45am for a 9:00am start-3 hour rehearsal

A short 15min walk from Pascoe Vale Station on the Craigieburn line. Exit via Burgundy Street.
By Bus:
Take route 513 or 514, Stop No. 9025 on Pleasant St/Cumberland St. Short walk down Pleasant Street to Holy Trinity Anglican Church Hall.
Parking:
Off street parking opposite the venue. Enter via Gyles Street
